SEO, otherwise known as Search Engine Optimization is a critical part of all websites success. About 80% of all traffic to the websites will come from the search engines results pages (SERP’s). It is important that the correct SEO methods be used to obtain the optimal ranking within the search engines results for your website.
SEO is made up of two different techniques, On Page SEO and Off Page SEO. You will need both methods for optimal results but you will use Off Page SEO for reaching a higher page rank (PR) for your website after it has been launched.
Off Page SEO is used to increase your link popularity. You will notice that your link popularity is represented by the number of backlinks your website contains. You can visit specific websites on the internet that will show you your websites current popularity. The higher the number is the higher your page rank (PR) popularity. You can increase your websites popularity by incorporating more backlinks to your site. This is not as easy as it may sound. Google will not care for reciprocal links where you have traded links with another site. You will be expected to obtain unilateral links to your website to increase its PR.
Using 100% original, unique and highly informative content is one of the better ways to increase popularity. You are far more likely to have other websites willing to link to your site if it is useful and unique information.
Several methods are used for building link popularity. If you do not have the time to create high quality content for your website and constantly update it keeping it fresh and new then you can try to incorporate some of the other ways to increase popularity below.
Article Marketing: Thousands of article directories are located on the internet. Some of them have extremely high page ranks (PR); you can use them to increase your PR as well. For as little as $25 you can have some sites submit your article to over 200 directories. For each article you submit there is a resource box included for you to place a link to your site as well as introduce yourself or your company. Having your article on a high ranking site will increase your link popularity and drive more traffic to your site.
Forum Marketing: Online forums or communities are everywhere on the web. They can be used to increase your pages PR. You should find the ones that relate the closest to your websites topic and begin posting. Use your signature box to place your website link in and with every post you make you will have a page linking back to your website.
