The two main types of portable trade show displays are pop ups and trusses. What distinguishes the two is that pop up displays are extremely easy to construct and set up in their proper spots while truss displays need professional tools to erect before they can be positioned. The largest portable truss displays are larger than the biggest portable pop ups. The standard portable pop up display sets consist of a backdrop and one or two tables.

 

 

Pop up displays are ideal for businesses that do not need an assortment of shelves for their products. For instance, real estate agents who serve out flyers and/or reservations for houses and condominiums need only this type of display to get their products going. The agent himself could be standing at the front table with a few brochures and reservation forms while the rest of his paraphernalia could be on the table in the back.

 

 

Optionally pop up displays may be fitted with video facilities such as LCD screens which can be constructed to fit into the backdrop of the display. The LCD screen should be removable for portable pop ups. The backdrop or the often curved structure at the back may be covered with plain colored frontrunners or graphic cloth. Lamps can be fitted at the top of this backdrop to light up the image(s) on it. The backdrops may be one, two or three-sided. Backdrops with two or three sides may be propped up against a wall or in the middle of an open area. Against the wall these backdrops will have number-of-sides – 1 functional areas.

 

 

Tables can double as the containers of the collapsible framework forming the backdrop and the cloths which are attached to it. The tables themselves double as the containers of the collapsible framework of the backdrop and the fabrics that are used to cover it. The fabrics are attached in rolls to the sides of each frame. Its loose end may be similarly attached to the opposite side of the frame. When the display is active, all the fabrics are rolled out giving the appearance of a seamless cover for the entire backdrop. When dismantled everything will fit into the container of the portable pop up display which is sometimes also the table.

 

Light shelves may be attached to pop up displays. Like everything else about the pop up they can be fixed in place with lightweight tools. Because of this pop ups are ideal for use by women. In spite of its lightness pop ups can support more weight than their dimensions suggest.

For this purpose the client should submit his graphics way before he is scheduled to use the display. This is because some delay is involved when printing cloth from digital images.
